When you realize that any outward work is useless, unless it also leads to inner work. And outward kindness and compassion starts with first being that way towards yourself.

Kintsugi

I’ve always loved finding the meaning of new words. Some Japanese words, like this one, are so deep and meaningful. One word. SO much meaning. Kintsugi is a word that inspired this piece of poetry. It is about brokenness and how it doesn’t have to mean the end of anything. I hope you like reading it.

Afraid To Fall

When I was sitting in quarantine and needed to write, I dug into some sweet memories and found that inspiration wasn’t be far behind. Here’s a little poem about the feeling of the initial rushes and fears of falling in love.

A Woman Just Like You

I write this in the hope that there comes a day when a mother isn’t poorly judging another mother based on her different choices. As long as those choices aren’t harming anyone, we should make a promise to ourselves that we encourage another woman’s courage to be herself.
